Contemporary Update.

Black Lace have accepted the Dreaded Contemporary for their 2010 line-up. Yay! A sale...a sale! Naturally I'm in happy skippy land as a result... watch out, the wasteland of "they've made a big mistake and I can't write for toffee" will undoubtedly follow just as soon as I come down from the current high. But for the moment.... double...nah, triple...yay!

OMG! Whoohoo! I'm so happy for you...and us readers. :D

What??? Never happen. You're an amazing writer. They should be begging for your work!

But who is this toffee anyway? Just a damn piece of candy that wouldn't know good writing even if it was covered in chocolate. You don't need to write for them anyway. :D snrk

Really, congrats!

Yay! congratulations, Madelynne, that's wonderful!

I agree with Leah, too. Forget about the toffee. You're a wonderful writer.

Congratulations, mate! Well done!

Not that I ever had any doubt this one would get taken... I agree with Leah, they should be grovelling to you to write for them!

Aw, ladies! Thanks for your lovely congrats. You all say the nicest things. I'm feeling all tearful now.

Who could turn down the incomparable Madelynne Ellis?

Incomparable! You know I love you, right Charlotte?

smooches,

Madelynne
(who is now considering sending this lousy toffee to all the folks that have turned her down :-D)

Raaah! Fantastic! So is it less dreaded now?

Madelynne Ellis said...

Nope. It's even more dreaded.

It's also a big dreadful mess, but that's by the bye.

You don't have to love me, Madelynne. I just say it how it is, and them's the facts. But I'll take your love anyway, and hurl loves right back atcha.

And you do realise that by calling it the Dreaded Contemp, and talking about how dreaded it is, you're only making us more excited to read it. It's like the legend of the Dreaded Contemp, now.

I almost wish it was called the Dreaded Contemporary now.

Hm, I thinks I haves me a dedication :-)

"It's like the legend of the Dreaded Contemp"

BWHAHAHAHA Ain't that the truth!

Congrats, Madelynne! I've got a real love-hate opinion of Black Lace lately. I'm glad they're finally wising up again.

BTW, you WILL be letting us know what the actual title turns out to be, won't you? But please continue to put (The Dreaded Contemporary) after every mention of it so we don't get confused, kthxbai. ;-p

Hi Eiko, thanks for stopping by. A Gentleman's Wager was re-released last year along with its sequel, Phantasmagoria.
