Capturing Cora: New Release

I know I've mentioned my new Romps & Rakehells series in passing once or twice, but as the first in the series is released today, I think it's time to go into a little more detail.

I wanted to write a series of stories, where the setting was the linking featured. I also had some vague plan of writing one story for each person in the rhyme Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Sailor... I still have that plan in the back of my mind, but I haven't attempted to follow the order of the rhyme.

The result is a Regency House Party set at Rievaulx House in Yorkshire, where the assembled cast of characters are looking for love, money or just plain passion.

The first story in the series, Capturing Cora, features childhood friends Branwell "Tinker" Locke and Miss Cora Reeve. Their silent admiration of one another comes to a head in a secluded cupboard during a game of hide and seek.

The second story, (out soon, and there's  a teaser included in Capturing Cora), Menage After Midnight, is the story of Paris Ashcroft, who in order to support himself and his sister provides a discrete service for married women whose husbands don't deliver in the bedroom department. On this occasion, Paris is drawn into a tryst with a married couple.

Here's the official blurb for Capturing Cora:

A botched marriage proposal. A mischievous wager. All leading to a game of hide and seek that turns highly erotic…

Branwell “Tinker” Locke believes in grand gestures. However, when his marriage proposal to Miss Cora Reeve is dismissed as a jape, Bran has to find another way to persuade Cora of his utmost sincerity. Even if it means using his tongue for something other than pretty words.

Cora fears that her former childhood friend is simply set upon helping her win a wager, that is, until they’re thrust together during a game of hide and seek and previously un-expressed passion blooms between them. Then, Cora is left wondering if she’s made a terrible mistake. Does Bran really love her, or was that forbidden pleasure between them in the cupboard just a moment that’s gone forever?
